The newer OS X WaveBurner started getting pretty stable about v1.1.1 in 2005. Switch to 44.1 in Graphic Patchbay or Auto Connector and it should be fixed. And even after that, you still would experiment with different grades of beans to see if you can improve it.Īnyway, we'll see in a few days how this WaveBurner update plays out. Id like to get WaveBurner to sequence/authorize after mastering in PT on. When starting WaveBurner with an Audiowerk 2/8 under MacOS 8.5, the program crashes with Error 3. Waveburner needs the mLan sample rate to be 44.1 - if it's something else the mLan outputs are not available to it. If you were looking for the perfect coffee, you would try several brands before you decided. You expect to upgrade, repair, replace, switch, add-on, it's just part of the "quest" (sounds a little lofty) Yes, I said Quest, kinda like Don Quixote de La Mancha fightin a windmill with a broomstick lance. Said in my original post, been using WaveBurner OS9 for several years, with great results, had no reason to think that Apple would change it (much less demolish it), except to adapt it to OSX.Įxpensive software is a "tool of the trade" used in professional studios. The update is highly recommended for all users of WaveBurner. My Waveburner is only 1.6.0 even though my Logic Pro is 9.1.1 - I downloaded the WB update 1.6. The problem is (and I'd love for someone to correct me on this) that if you hit the level hard, it doesn't just clip the waveform (which is what I want, as long as the clip is 4 or fewer samples, roughly), it takes the clipped portion, puts it all the way at the opposite pole of the waveform. it would be a frivolous purchase, unless they were gonna use Logic. Apple on Thursday also released WaveBurner 1.1.2 software for SuperDrive users, which it says addresses isolated reliability issues. So here comes WB 1.1.1 I actually like this little program, but unfortunately it's unusable, really. A fully functional (if not better) version of WaveBurner for OSX would certainly be worth buying the whole Logic package, if you use it -every day- for burning masters.
